Requirements:
WXLV is looking for our next assignment editor who has a passion for news and for elevating our digital platforms. The Assignment Editor plays a central role in the newsroom, coordinating daily news coverage.
Job Duties:
- Monitor news wires, social media, scanner traffic, and viewer tips to identify potential stories.
- Working closely with producers, reporters, and photographers, they assign and prioritize coverage, ensuring the newsroom responds quickly to breaking news
- Covers stories that matter to the community
Qualifications:
- Strong news judgment
- Multitasking skills
- Effective communication
- Ability to work in a fast-paced role
