Position Promotions Manager
Description

CBS Radio Charlotte, is looking for a creative, detail oriented individual to be our Promotions Manager. You should be experienced in all aspects of promotion and will be responsible for the creation, management and oversight of promotions for our radio station.The Promotions Manager provides support for the Marketing and Promotions Department and oversees legal compliance and the prize fulfillment for all station contests. The ideal candidate must be passionate about promotion and radio and must be experienced in developing revenue-generating ideas that get results for clients. 

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (to include but will not be limited to): Managing of contesting and event marketing – manage station appearances at all sales and station remotes and events - Includes scheduling and managing promotions coordinators, per-diem assistants, and hiring and scheduling department interns - Also responsible for the overall look and feel of the event with the station’s brand in mind, as well as client and programming relations, including banner placement and location set-up - Contest Administration – maintain all on-air and web based station contests including contest rules and records of winners. Collect prizes from sales, provide copy to programming for on-air use, contact winners, and arrange for prize delivery and fulfillment - Listener Service – respond to listener calls; research questions and follow-up with answers. Mail out station materials as requested - Maintain all listener records and files, including an electronic database and contest winners (PromoSuite) - Assemble materials from sales for distribution at all outside marketing events - Coordinate on-site scheduling of Event Coordinators and Interns and serve as the station liaison with event sponsors, station clients, listeners,record labels and media, projecting a positive image at all times - Maintain station inventory of prizes and collateral materials - Work with the Director of Marketing and the Webmaster for on-air/on-line station promotions - Secure copy from clients and event sponsors for on-air station promotional announcements, scripts, ad-libs, and recorded promos - Research and assemble recap reports for Sales and clients involved in station promotions - Extend the CBS brand to secondary materials, promotional pieces (key chains, shirts, etc.) and station banners - Coordinate with business department for all invoices, purchase orders, and talent payments for marketing department. Maintain detailed and accurate records of invoices and purchase orders. Work closely with our NTR Department on client fulfillment as it relates to event marketing. 

The successful candidate will be creative, highly motivated, organized and a team player with attention to detail and demonstrated ability to multi-task. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. All employees are also expected to bring a positive attitude to the work place and be cheerful, cooperative and productive and to perform other such duties as may be required for the efficient operations of the stations. In addition, the right candidate: Must have solid organizational skills.Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office software and database management.Proven ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment. Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and evening hours, as necessary. Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to drive station vehicles to and from station activities if required. Related experience is required, preferably in Top 40 radio or media and a minimum of 5 years in Programming/Marketing.
