The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing new ideas for station content to make the station stand out from others in the market. This person will work with air-talent to create and schedule segments, live programs and music scheduling consistent with the goals of the station as set out in the strategic plan, and much more. The Program Director should be in tune with the needs of the audience and the community in general to plan programs that are relevant to the audience and that are likely to be listened to. Dealing with demographics and ratings data is a normal part of the Program Director position. The Program Director will write and develop imaging to position the station consistently with the goals of management. The Program Director will also do an air-shift. A Program Director must possess stellar verbal and written skills, maintain an understanding of Pop culture, and have a passion for the Adult Hits format. He or she needs to be highly organized, driven, and be comfortable working with other Program Directors in the cluster, Sales Manager, AE’s, Promotions and our Management team. The Program Director should not only be an expert in broadcasting, and often music, but in managing and motivating a staff. Must have proficiency with RCS Selector and Nexgen software and Social Media platforms. A pre-employment drug screening is required. EOE, M/F.
