WFMY, in Greensboro North Carolina is looking for a Production Assistant who understands great production value and teamwork. This person will be working with HD studio robotic studio cameras, lighting, hand held camera, and helping to maintain our sets.  Experience is a plus, but not necessary. We are looking for someone who is an innovator, and leader. If you are interested in joining a great team redefining local news this position maybe for you.  

Responsibilities:

• Operation of studio camera, teleprompter, and various broadcast equipment.
• Edit stories for on-air and on-line.
• Assist web department in posting updates to our various websites and social media.
• Other duties as assigned.

Here’s what you need:

• A degree or work towards a degree in a related field is preferred.
• Excellent communication skills and computer skills.
• Flexible availability is essential.  Position involves extremely early and late hours and includes weekends and holidays.
• Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills required.
• Basic knowledge of non-linear editing.
